Baby seats
These are for children from around six months to five years old. The seat is fixed to your bike, and they’re designed to be easy to fit. Most bike shops will be happy to fit one for you if you need some help.

Trailer bikes
Sometimes called tag-alongs or pull-alongs, these are for children from around four to nine years old. Basically these are one-wheeled bikes on a long bar which is attached to your bike. You’ll be towing your child, but they can still pedal and help out!

Trailers can be used for babies and toddlers up to five years, and can be used for one or two children. They also have the advantage of keeping kids dry and comfortable. Many children nod off in their bike trailer. Some people find they’re also ideal for dogs!
